Welcome to Unit 8

So I finally took some pictures of the unit. They’re not that exciting, but it is the place where Claire and I spend quite a bit of time.

Living Room

Here is the living room with our two nasty couches.  This is the place where everyone congregates at 6 every night to watch the Simpsons.

Kitchen

And this is our lovely kitchen.  Tons of pasta have been cooked and eaten here.

Food!

This is the food shelf that Claire and I use.  We’re going grocery shopping today since we are running low on the staples so it’s a little bare at the moment.  And Home Brand is the generic brand of Woolworth’s, I think the backpackers may be keeping them in business…

Bedroom was too messy to post and intends to stay that way, haha.  On a sidenote though (sorry Claire), the guys in the unit think Claire takes way too long in the shower.  This has been an ongoing thing and it’s easy to get frustrated when there’s four of you sitting around covered in dirt and smelling because you’ve been at work all day.  Also the hot water tank runs out after about 3 showers and there’s 9 of us living in the unit.

Bathroom

So the other day, I was sitting on the porch talking to a friend on the phone, Claire was in the shower, all of a sudden our roommate, Kristian, runs out of the unit and into the carport.  He comes back carrying a large cane stick and shouting,”I’m going to beat Claire if she doesn’t come out of there!’.  That really made my day, no worries though, no beating actually occurred.
